3) Why did Marvel create the Avengers films?

Marvel at that time were recovering from bankruptcy; they sold off some of their most popular characters like Spider-Man. They still owned all the rights to the members of the original Avengers (Hulk, Thor, Iron Man and Captain America), so they decided to make a crossover film.

4) Who owns the rights to Spider-Man and why is the character now appearing in the MCU?

Sony owns the rights to Spider-Man and have made their own Spider-Man films for years, still making some to this day. Sony and Disney agreed on a deal to let Spider-Man appear in the MCU, although Sony still owns the rights to Spider-Man.

5) Who owns the rights to the Fantastic Four and the X-Men?

20th Century Fox owns the rights to both the Fantastic Four and X-Men.

6) What has Disney announced regarding their streaming service Disney+?

They announced that they will be producing Marvel TV shows exclusively on Disney+, also announcing one of their first series, Loki.

Why would an audience like it?   It appealed to it's audience for it's story and characters.
