Film Industry: Black Widow

1) Marvel Studios, Walt Disney Studios, Warner Bros. Sound and lots of VFX companies.

2) A conglomerate is a big company that owns lots of smaller companies. Black Widow features lots of production teams that are subsidiaries of Disney/Marvel.

3) The special effects, the celebrity actors, and the soundtrack.

4a) Trailers

Trailers have been the standard way to advertise a movie for a long time. It's pretty much a necessity if you want anyone to see or hear about your movie.

4b) Star Interviews/Power

Interviews with the cast attracts fans of said actors to watch/read the interview and then potentially get interested in watching the movie being advertised. Star power works basically the same way as those fans will see their favourite actor in that movie which gives them a motive to watch it.

4c) Audience Promotion

Promoting good reviews from audience members has been quite an uncommon thing as big studios typically push out reviews from critics more often. This has been effective in promoting the film; people would've seen more reviews from the general public rather than critics, which might've encouraged them to watch the movie after seeing/hearing the praise about it.

5) Black Widow had a budget of $200m and only made around $379m. While that may seem like a lot, for a big studio like Disney, it was a commercial failure, as most Marvel movies typically make around $1b.

6) I would still consider Black Widow to be a successful Hollywood blockbuster. This is because the only reason the film didn't make as much as it should was because this was just after/during the COVID-19 pandemic. Plus, Disney could've earned more money from the movie via streaming on Disney+.

7) The British Board of Film Classification (BBFC)

8) 12A because it contains moderate violence that isn't necessarily graphic, but might shock younger viewers.

The camera tends to focus a lot on the characters, either in a close up shot, over the shoulder or showing their full bodies. It has been done in this way to presumably give more of a focus on their dialogue and actions in a more dramatic and serious sense, as it is a TV drama. Mise-en-scene: The scenarios shown in this episode are quite gloomy, historic and lonely. The city, which is the location where the majority of the episode takes place, is quite empty, abandoned and old looking. The characters here also look quite nervous and/or always on alert, considering the setting they're in. Narrative and genre: The episode focuses on a city in the sky in which its inhabitants either fled or had their souls stolen by "Spectres", which means the city is very empty and is only really filled with children/teens. The episode also focuses on other worldly creatu
